Who we want:
The Donor Engagement Officer is a critical player in generating financial resources to achieve UWATX’s goals and mission. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing donor engagement and fundraising strategies to grow the number of high net prospects and donors capable of supporting UWATX as major contributors. In partnership with the Director of Donor Engagement, you will implement strategies that contribute to the acquisition, cultivation and retention of major gift donors. As part of this, you will be responsible for the coordination of UWATX’s giving society activities, with special focus on Women United (formerly known as Women’s Leadership Circle). Your role will include elements of relationship building, portfolio management, event coordination, donor data maintenance and other administrative functions in support of effective donor cultivation and stewardship.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in fundraising and donor engagement, or a related field in Austin with proven success.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and event coordination (high attention to detail-management a must).
  • Superior communication skills (written and oral), including public speaking experience.
  • Ability to interpret computer-generated reports and analyze data to inform your strategy (donor database experience required).
  • Evidence of relationships with Austin donors and community stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment with concurrent demands.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Access to reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a valid driver’s license required.
