El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission has served the community for nearly 30 years, providing whole health for the whole family through a wide variety of medical, mental health, and wellness services; offering education programs that seek to strengthen families by providing learning opportunities for adults and children of all ages; and partnering with other community agencies to bring economic stability programming to Central Texas families.

We are seeking an Annual Giving Manager who will be responsible for the implementation and management of a comprehensive annual giving program to support the organization’s annual operating budget. The Annual Giving Manager provides outreach, activities and events to attain and maintain a robust annual giving program as a component of El Buen’s overall fundraising strategy. Position is also responsible for database management, gift processing, and timely acknowledgement and stewards.

Annual Giving Manager Job Duties Include:

  • Plan and execute a comprehensive annual giving program to provide a sustainable base of support for El Buen's operating budget; annual giving fundraising strategies include appeal campaigns, special events, and personal solicitations
  • Manage three multi-channel appeal campaigns with goals to secure, renew and upgrade donors
  • Play key role in the planning and execution of an annual fundraising event, and manage small donor engagement events such as open houses
  • Collaborate with the development committee of the board and other volunteers in the execution of annual giving program activities
  • Responsible for prospect donor identification, cultivation & solicitation
  • Manage workplace giving partnerships with goals to increase participation
  • Create donor-centered content for social media, and support the development of content for collateral materials, newsletters, and annual reports
  • Work with volunteer coordinator to engage individual donors and groups in volunteer opportunities, and develop other onsite donor engagement activities around ongoing program events
  • Oversee implementation of in-kind donation policy and procedure
  • Work with director of marketing and communications to manage online giving platform
  • Process all donations in Raiser's Edge database and produce acknowledgement letters; oversee implementation of donor recognition policy
  • Prepare performance reports on development goals, appeal campaigns and special events
  • Produce dashboards, and Raiser's Edge reports and queries
  • Provide support for monthly development committee meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Annual Giving Manager Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor';s degree in a related field, and
  • At least three (3) years of professional fundraising experience within a nonprofit environment, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Annual giving or individual giving program experience preferred
  • Experience with gift processing and Raiser's Edge database management or other fundraising software
  • Experience with Constant Contact email marketing software
  • Direct mail experience
  • Social media skills
  • Interpersonal skills to relate to a diverse group of donors, volunteers and colleagues, including diplomacy and discretion
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive data

Beginning salary is $47,000 - 52,000 annually, commensurate with experience. El Buen offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package, including employer-paid medical, dental, life, accident, and disability insurance, as well as employer retirement contributions (5%) and matching contributions (additional 4%) to a pension plan. El Buen recognizes 13 paid holidays each year and provides paid vacation, personal days and sick leave.
