Job Description
Austin Diaper Bank is moving out of the start-up stage and looking for an Executive Director who can create the vision for and lead the organization through its next phase of growth and maturity. The Executive Director, reporting directly to the board of directors, will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Austin Diaper Bank and its staff. The Executive Director will serve as the chief fundraising officer and will be responsible for revenue generation, program oversight, and future program expansion.

Austin Diaper Bank is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing diapers to Austin families in need to strengthen the community as a whole. Central Texans young and old need a clean, reliable supply of diapers for a healthy and comfortable quality of life. We partner with social service agencies of all kinds to distribute diapers. Partnering with other organizations allows our clients to receive many different types of services beyond diapers.

Job Responsibilities: ● Develop a strategic plan in collaboration with board members, including three year goals for program expansion and staffing. ● Design a sustainable development program through the creation of an annual development plan and supporting back office operations. ● Plan, implement, evaluate, and manage the development program designed to meet the goals and objectives as defined by the strategic plan. ● Ensure all levels of donors are appropriately cultivated, solicited, and stewarded in a donor-centered manner. ● Partner with board members and volunteers to identify, cultivate, and solicit potential significant donors to help meet funding goals for the organization. ● Develop strategies to acquire, upgrade, and renew donors annually; implement a moves management plan for annual and major gift prospects. ● Develop and maintain close working relationships with the philanthropic community; serving as a spokesperson for Austin Diaper Bank. ● Create marketing materials, social media, and awareness campaigns as part of a public relations strategy with responsibility for branding strategy that expands the target audience through community relations, speaking engagements, newsletters, and charitable events. ● Ensure programmatic excellence, program evaluation, and strategies for program expansion. ● Ensure that Austin Diaper Bank can articulate and measure successes and effectively communicate to the board, donors, and other constituents. ● Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout Austin and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance ADB’s mission. ● Lead, develop, and retain Austin Diaper Bank staff and volunteers . ● Ensure the financial health of the organization by implementing a sound and balanced financial model with annual goals for contributed and earned revenue.

Qualifications:
● Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising in Austin with a proven record of success, including major gift solicitations and events ● Minimum 3 years of nonprofit management experience ● Familiarity with the Greater Austin philanthropic and business community; relationships with Austin donors and community stakeholders ● Demonstrated excellence in organizational, project management, financial, and communication skills ● Experience working with a board of directors ● Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience talking to the media preferred ● Ability to work both autonomously and in collaboration ● Proficiency with technology and its increasing role in development communication, including use of social media, email marketing and development software for donor tracking ● Experience in an organization that’s moving out of start-up phase and determining path to scale, strongly preferred ● Bachelor’s degree required ● Access to reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a valid driver’s license required Terms and

Compensation:
This is a full-time position. The salary range is $65-75k. Benefits are not currently offered. Some evening and weekend hours may be required, but the schedule is generally flexible.
